Alessandro Meregaglia, Boise, ID;

Good Shepherd, Boise ID (NOW);

LCMS 13; Archivist/Librarian & Assoc. Prof. C: Chm. Stewp. Com., Parish Plng. Coun. 8, Usher 9, Elder.

O: Archivist 10, Assoc. Prof. 10, Vol.

Archivist Russell Kirk Ctr. for Cultural Renewal 10.

As a professional archivist and librarian working at a university archive, I have responsibilities similar to those of the Concordia Historical Institute—collecting, preserving, and making available important historical records. Serving on the CHI board would allow me to put my education and training to use for the benefit of the LCMS.

During my catechesis, I learned that faithfully proclaiming the Gospel today requires understanding the church’s past. That principle shapes my commitment to preserving Lutheran history. If elected, I look forward to serving with the rest of the board to advance the good work that CHI does to gather and share the archival records of the LCMS.

Pause and Pray at 3:07 p.m.

At 3:07 each day, remember John 15:7 and pray for Christ's Church, the convention, our leaders, and the work of the Gospel among us.
