Our Lord said He did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10). Christ alone is the Redeemer. But His life of
service is also an example for all the redeemed. Should the church
place me into the position for which I have been nominated, Iwill use the gifts and knowledge entrusted to me—with the Spirit’s help—to serve Christ and His church diligently and faithfully.
