Personal Statement

I have always tried to conduct my ministry according to the time-honored principle of “the office seeks the man; the man doesn’t seek the office.” As such, I agree with and try to live up to the sentiment expressed in the Deaconess Creed penned by Wilhelm Loehe, which begins with these words: “What is my want?

I want to serve. Whom do I want to serve? The Lord.” If elected, Iintend to serve with joy and integrity.
