Personal Statement

I believe that officers of the LCMS should strive to ensure that congregations are empowered to carry out the Christ-centered and Gospel-focused mission of God in their communities. While most functions of this office are administrative and bureaucratic, institutions should not be ends in themselves but should strive to serve the Gospel so that “together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ … in order that the nations might glorify God for his mercy” (Rom. 15:6, 9).

Pause and Pray at 3:07 p.m.

At 3:07 each day, remember John 15:7 and pray for Christ's Church, the convention, our leaders, and the work of the Gospel among us.
