Personal Statement

The First Vice-President of Synod serves an important role in assisting and supporting the Office of the President and in his contributions to the Council of Presidents. In both respects, he has the opportunity to advance the clear and consistent catechesis and confession of Christ and His Word, in support of the mission and ministry of the Lord’s church. It is crucial that the First Vice-President be fully committed to our Lutheran theology in both teaching and practice, which is the bedrock and glue of our church fellowship, above all because it is in keeping with our Lord’s Word.
