Personal Statement

The church is the Body of Christ. She exists to make the reality of Christ known to the world by word and action. This means all congregations, all schools, and our Synod should confidently act like God’s people in all that they do. Jesus is our Lord, and we live accordingly. Recognizing genuine unity in our common confession, we work together on the task given to us by our Lord. As we proclaim His truth, we treat one another as brothers and those around us in the world as people for whom Christ died. Christ defines the church and her leaders.

Personal Statement

Serving as Central Region Vice-President at congregational celebrations, conferences, conventions, meetings, funerals, and on the Council of Presidents has been a great honor. I hope I have been able to rightly confess the truth of God’s Word in all the places where service to the Synod has sent me. “For the body does not consist of one member but of many” (1 Cor. 12:14). I view myself as being a member of the Body who is granted a position to represent the parish pastors of our Synod on the Council of Presidents, expressing their joys and concerns. I would be honored to continue serving in this way.
